About JACKSON HOLE
LAST OF THE OLD WEST...
Jackson Hole includes The Teton Range and neighboring valley that extends approximately 60 miles from the southern edge of Yellowstone National Park all the way south to the town of Jackson. The Jackson Hole Valley is about 20 miles wide stretching between The Grand Teton on the west to the Gros Ventre Wilderness on the east. Major landmarks include The Sleeping Indian, Shadow Mountain, Antelope Flats, Oxbow Bend, Colter Bay, Mt. Moran, Jackson Lake, Cascade Canyon, Jenny Lake and numerous other canyons, lakes and peaks throughout the range including the magnificent Grand Teton with its two neighbors the Middle Teton and the South Teton. The National Elk Refuge pictured above is located at the northern edge of Jackson and hosts thousands of elk over the long hard winter. Grand Teton National Park begins just four miles north of Jackson and extends all the way north to join Yellowstone at its south entrance.
